My problem with mobility is caused by poor balance as I regularly loose my balance and fall would be acceptable for me to tick the less than 20meters box I can walk further than this but I can not do it safely or repeatedly

You should mark the distance that you can reliably walk on the majority of days.

Ruger2012 wrote: hello the date I phoned to claim pip was the 30th June my form was only sent back today because they required me to pass a residents test before they sent a form out. As it's already over 3 months since I made the claim and quite possibly to take another few to have it all finalised will they backdate payments til 30th June or is there a maximum time limit on backdated payments thanks
If this was a new claim and there is no DLA claim in payment then it should be backdated to the date that the claim was made.

There are considerable variations in the timescales reported to us - so much so that I can only say that it could take a few weeks or a few months.
