PIP assessment recording was created by J
Hi all,
I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I can't seem to filter questions on here. I just wondered if people recorded their medical assessment and if so what device did you use and how did you provide them with a copy?
Thanks

You need permission in advance from the Assessment Provider to make the recording.
It needs to be made to two tapes of CDs simultaneously.
You cannot use a digital recorder.
Someone has today reported problems is the media is not new, so make sure that the tapes or CDs are still shrink wrapped and opened in the presence of the assessor.
You need to give one of the recordings to the assessor.
Most members have used two relatively cheap cassette recorders, check that they record without problem, some have used external microphones.

Hi,
Just to say thanks for all the help over the last few weeks. I was allowed to use two identical recorders I'd got from Argos with ATOS. Very surprised!

That's good to know.
You should be able to request a copy of the assessment report by contacting the DWP office dealing with your claim.
PIP Decisions are taking about 2-4 weeks at the moment.

Thanks! Yes I've already requested PA4 by phone and letter. I now just need to prepare for the likely mandatory reconsideration etc so I'm sure i'll be back requesting more help. I'm hoping that I don't get the brown letter on my birthday, as that's within the the expected response time and would be a terrible gift!
