Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Yes, if IS was in payment then the DWP should have looked at whether there should have been a payment for ESA(IR).
ESA(CB) is Contribution Based ESA.
What group are you in? How long have you been receiving ESA?
If you in the Support Group and you are entitled to ESA(IR) then you would also be receiving the Disability Income Guarantee.

HI Gordon
Thanks for your message.
I am in the Support group and it is income related it also says on the page about how much hat I receive some extra because of the Disability Income guarantee
I have been receiving ESA since 2013 when I was transferred from SDA and IS
Do you think that this is different situation to the people with underpayments transferred from Incapacity benefit to ESA
Many thanks
Lorna

Yes it's different, many IB claimants were not assessed for ESA(IR) when they were in fact eligible for payment. If you are receiving ESA(IR), which you are, then it is extremely unlikely that you were effected by this problem.
