A supplementary report is produced when the DWP Decision Maker has further medical questions, these could be from the assessment report itself or due to inconsistencies between the report and the claimants evidence.
Capita and ATOS (now IAS), provide medical support for PIP claims to the DWP, not just assessments.
It's possible that your MR request has prompted the additional report.

I fear they are using this and also if you have a pet, i.e can you look after, it, in the case of a dog who takes it for a walk? This is a really scandlous thing to do to people. Basically it is anything to deny you benefits. Shme our MPs are not questioned to a 10% of what people on beneftis are. They have forgoten the well in Welfare.
Sometimes, due to errors in the report and your submission, the report is sent back to the assessment provider. They may then change their report. This happened to me. I was successful at MR stage and my original decision of 0 points was overturned. Good luck and hang in there.
