I had my Pip medical a few weeks ago and have received 0 points. I suffer from Generalised anxiety disorder, agoraphobia, social phobia and panic attacks. I have just received the Pip medical thing. In every single question it states " He has no cognitive impairment diagnosed and wondering if anyone else has ever had this as a reason to be denied Pip?
It also states " He has no specialist psychiatric input". I had to spend 4 weeks in a mental hospital in 2012 and then i had to do CBT therapy. I sent in letters from my psychiatrist from this time but they have disregarded it. Is there a time limit on this if its from 2012?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I think you will struggle to show the relevance of the hospitalisation if it dates from 2012, they will primarily be looking for evidence from the last two years.

Hi Gordon. I guessed that would be too long. Have you ever seen this " He has no cognitive impairment diagnosed" on every answer though?. It is if they are using this to totally dismiss my anxiety disorder

Yes i have diagnosis letters from when i was put into the hospital and can also get a more up to date GP letter about this. I sent in a psychiatric letter with the initial application that had parts about the diagnosis but the letter was from 2012 so not sure if that counts. They also wrote a reason i got refused was because my medication had not been reviewed in 6 years. This is incorrect as i had my medicine reviewed last year. They have not contacted my GP or they would have found out about this. Should i get a GP letter confirming that no one from the DWP has been in touch about my case?

They'll already know this, it would be better if your GP confirms the diagnosis's to undermine the assessors statements.
