All you can do is ask and see what they say.

Hi again Gordon
I called again and have now been told that my sons assessment is going to be a paper based one, is this a good or bad thing? I didn't ask for this and am worried sick I've done some thing wrong!
I did send lots of information and supporting letters with the original claim.
Have you heard of this before?
Kind regards
Lindsey

Paper Based Reviews are uncommon but not rare, it's usually seen as a good thing.

Its a DLA tp PIP claim, my is now 16, I had to re arrange F2F twice and now they saying they are going to do a paper based assessment - is that still usually a good sign?
I'm not sure if a review and assessment are the same thing sorry - I'm new to all this!

They are the same thing :)

They wouldn't do a PBR if there was not sufficient information for them to do so.
