Hi Flora, Thank you for your advice.
My son has a learning support plan in place but will not have anybody to help him within uni. He was bullied terrible in main stream school and does not want anyone to perceive him as different, its quite an issue with him and he would not attend under those conditions. I am basically his one to one now, i take him and collect him, he uses ear defenders to walk around campus on most days and is only there for 10-12 hours a week, were at school he was there for over 30 hours and needed someone with him. The uni send all his work and study material at least 24 hours in advance and i go through it with him as he has difficulty with comprehension. He also has a room to himself for exams and 25% extra time allocated to him.

The DWP does not have any staff qualified to carry out an assessment on your son so they cannot simply revise the award, basically, their options fall into three categories; they can decide that he clearly does not meet the criteria for an award and remove it, this is extremely unlikely based on your post. They can assume that there has been a Change of Circumstances and order a reassessment of his claim using the normal mechanisms Lastly they can decide that the current award is reasonable and leave it alone.
