They will, my point was that there is no value in doing an MR just for increased points for your DL award.

This is where I’m getting very confused as I’m such a mix of it all and I do not understand what I’m even supposed to have been disputing as it’s confuse me that much as I’m a mix of it all.

Is it not worth doing it then in case they look at it and decide to award me lower points ?

You need to sort this out in your own mind, there's no point in your asking for an MR unless you can reasonably explain how you should score higher.

There is a risk, it doesn't happen very often but you need to consider this as part of your decision as to whether to request an MR.

Have just had my MR outcome: no change, as was statistically very likely, and the letter is just a rehash of the initial letter, with my lengthy MR submission unlikely to have been read, since the outcome doesn't address the points I raised at all. This experience confirms for him that MR is largely a total waste of resources...
What's irritating is that the outcome letter states 'We can still pay you [standard DL], as though you're being done a favour by maintaining what you had before and should be grateful for that. I know this is standard wording, but it's patronising, with the subtext 'don't appeal, 'cos you've got something'. Ridiculous!
