I am currently appealing an ESA decision and am claiming JSA for now (might go onto ESA assessment rate if I can't cope). I've also been looking at maybe moving house or rather doing a home swap as I have an awful neighbour.
Will moving force me to make a universal credit claim? (It would be within the same local council/Authority although a different village/town/postcode). I currently get DLA and am hoping (fingers crossed to get pip which i'm being transferred to). However if forced onto UC i'm worried about losing SDP.
Providing the move is in the same Local Authority and you do not need to make a new claim for any of the benefits that are under the UC umbrella then there should be no requirement for you to claim UC.
