Atos assessment stated partner can walk 1 metre but no more than 20 metres - 12 points I presume. The decision maker didn't agree and only gave my partner 8 points- no reason given for how or why they made this decision. All evidence supported the assessors findings. Is this common practice- that the decision maker disagrees with the assessor' s report? Thanks.
It's unusual but it is the DMs job to make a Decision so they are not bound by the assessment report but where they do differ then they should explain their reasoning.
What did you say on the form?
Were there any activities in your form of in the assessment report that argue that you can walk a longer distance.
