I called the DWP and they said the reason for the award start date being in 2018 is because that was the financial year in which my PIP was being reviewed and therefore it the rate that I would've gotten from April 2018 onwards (even though I'd already been awarded PIP between April 2018 to January 2019 when it was stopped). Bizarre response, it'd be ok if this was standard practice, but I'm not sure it is? I'd like to know If this has happened to others?
