Hi, just a quick update on my recent claim and I am pleased to say that my PIP award has been given at standard for daily living and enhanced for mobility. This is the same award as I already had. The whole process took around 3 weeks from posting my claim form. I am considering a MR as I feel that I meet one more descriptor which would then give me enhanced for daily living. Before submitting my MR could someone advise if the MR looks at the whole claim again or just the descriptor that I feel I should receive points for?
DWP will look at the whole claim so potentially you could loose what you have already received.
You need to check out our guides before going down the MR route.
I have asked at MR for only one component to be looked at, but that does not guarantee that they will only look at the one component. I usually put for instance, that I agree with how the mobility has been awarded, but have issues with the daily living due to ....... XYZ, this does not always work, and you have to be fully aware of the risks.
