Type 2 Diabetes and Pip was created by Adwozere
I had my telephone assessment 2 weeks ago for my ongoing 1st time claim, but today I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and been put on medication.
My question is- is this worth telling the DWP to add it to my claim?

Hi Adam

To answer your question, does being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes stop you from doing anything that you did not do before being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. What impact does it have on your daily life?

Remember when claiming PIP you have to have a condition 3 months prior to claiming unless you are terminally ill, the condition has to be ongoing for 9 months or more.

In answer to your question, there is no harm informing DWP that you have been recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, they may ask you what impact if any it has.

Thank you, it's just more tablets to take each day, it's hard to tell how it effects me as I have so much going on already and it's hard to say what causes what (if that makes sense) I had 3 blood tests 3 or 4 months apart to diagnose so been ongoing a while
