Yes, you can appeal for a longer award although I have to warn you that we have not seen many appeals where the length of the award was the only issue, don't forget that the panel can only consider your conditions and limitations as they were on the date of the original Decision being appealed.
Have you considered the possibility that the shorter awarded is because the DM thinks your limitations may increase over the five years?
