I can only tell you from personal experience, my wife was awarded PIP std care and enhanced mobility for 5 years. We applied for a blue badge on line, no problems the first time we applied, the blue badge lasted 3 years.
We renewed it this year, my wife was initially turned down as her award was mainly based on going out 10 points, moving around 4 points. We appealed the decision and my wife had to undertake a telephone assessment where the assessor awarded my wife the blue badge, which again runs for 3 years and cost £10.00.
