I've received a message from the DWP to contact them by phone. It's 0800 169 0310.
My guess is it's probably because I recently requested PIP forms to be sent to my parents' address where I am shielding rather than my home address which is on my ESA claim. I explained this when I phoned to ask for PIP forms. Maybe the two addresses make3 them suspect fraud.
I can't get through by phone despite holding on for an hour or more each time. How can I ensure the DWP doesn't take action and mess up my ESA payments because they haven't heard from me.
When I phone, the prompts ask for NI number, address and my phone number. Is it hoping for too much to believe the DWP will log this personal info and realise I have been trying to get through before they take any action?
Write to the DWP office dealing with your ESA claim, explaining where you are staying and why but I would still try to ring them because it is possible that for your ESA to be suspended if there is a conflict over the address they have for you.
