No, I am not seeing anyone apart from my son who is living with me, and I am too scared for him to touch it too, in case he catches covid off it, and gives me covid. I cannot cope with a benefit review at the moment. I would not even be able to get the form posted back. Is there anything I can do to delay it? I think it will push me over the edge

Sorry so many questions amid my panic. I usually have paper based assessment, are they still doing those, or will I automatically have to have a telephone assessment this time?

Cruella
If your ESA is being reviewed then there is nothing you can do to stop this, you can't park this issue as it could lead to your ESA being suspended or even stopped. You need to know if a form has been sent and conversely, you don't want to send a form in if they are not looking at your claim.
Do you have any disposable gloves or even non-disposable ones? Your son can use these to safely open the envelope, then the gloves and the envelope can be safely disposed of and you will know for certain whether you have received an ESA50 or not.

They have increased the number of Paper assessments that they are doing but there are no guarantees.

Thank you, I need to know how I got into the support group last time. I rang the call centre three times in the past because I thought I needed a copy of the ESA85A. None of the three advisors had heard of such a thing. The last one googled it and then started saying she had found something of that name on this site!! I gave up, how can I get this information of why I was put in the support group at the last review. They do not seem to have anything on their system explaining. One of the advisors actually asked me if I wanted to come out of the support group, I just wanted to know the descriptors/criteria I met -n I just needed the ESA85A info or so I thought. Should there be an ESA85A form for a review (I obtained one for the very first ESA assessment/decision)

Hi Cruella
Contact ESA Enquiry line: 0800 169 0310 and ask for a copy of the assessors report, as you had a paper assessment last time it will be called (ESA 85a).
We do have some very good guides which will explain the descriptors and criteria, it was last up dated in September this year: www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/esa1 .
Yes there will be a new ESA 85(a) form completed when you have a new assessment, paper base/telephone or face to face, at present there are no face to face assessments.
