Thanks Gary. I did the initial bit of the claim for PIP yesterday over the phone. Got text today to say they sending out the form to fill in. Do you know how long you get to fill form in and return it? Is the form similar to UC50? Thanks

Hi Ade

You normally have 4 weeks from the date on the letter to return your PiP form - that means it may only be 3 weeks depending on how quickly you receive the letter. However, you can request and you will be given a two week extension - but you have to ring and ask for it - if you need it - before your form is due.

It's hard to make a comparison of forms because I think it depends on individuals, their health conditions (and how much you dislike form filling!). The PIP one Is larger - but do start looking at our comprehensive PIP guide. It can seem a little daunting at 108 pages, but there is lots of help on how to fill the form when you get it.
