Hi all! New member and first time poster. My question is this, can you get both PIP and LCWRA element of UC or is it a case of one or the other? I intend to make a claim for both more in hope than expectation.

Thanks in advance

Hi aberdeenangus

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is.

Welcome to Benefits and Work .

The answer to your question is yes, you can get both PIP and UC LCWRA. What you will not be able to claim is the extra premium (SDP) if you are successful with your PIP claim.

Check out our members only guides for PIP and UC

In order to qualify for the Support Group/LCWRA you need to;

* meet one or more of the relevant descriptors, or
* meet one of the associated Exceptional Circumstances rules.

The Support Group descriptors and the Exceptional Circumstances are listed in the Claiming ESA guides in the members area.
