Hello Diceman,
My understanding is that awards of 10 or more years, or ones which take you past State Pension Age MIGHT qualify for the light touch. Quite how the light touch will look is yet to be decided by the DWP.

Hi Diceman,
I am really sorry to hear about your diagnosis. That condition is enough to have to deal with, without fighting the benefits system.
My understanding is that
1. All 10 year awards are either for a condition which is extremely unlikely to change or is likely to get worse.
2. All light touch awards are 10 year awards
BUT
3. Not all 10 year awards are light touch awards.
I choose not to try to understand....
I fear that if you had been one of the lucky ones to be awarded a light touch them you would have been told when you were awarded it.
