Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Longbow
PIP isn't really about the specific conditions claimants have, just the symptoms that affect their daily lives and their mobility when matched against the specific PIP criteria. That's why two people with what appears to be identical conditions can score differently because of the described impact. If you want to make a case that your hearing has deteriorated which has led to you now need a hearing aid - you should say so. With the prostate, you would have to show which specific criteria it affects.
Always concentrate on the questions where you can be awarded points.

Hi Longbow, it might be helpful if I tell you what one off the assessors told me on the phone during my assessment. She said it is not the diagnosed condition but how that condition affects your daily living. What difficulties you are having because of that condition. My partner has hearing problems and although he has hearing aids, he is having grave difficulties with people having to wear masks. Voices are muffled and it is difficult to understand where noises are coming from. His communication skills therefore are really affected. This is just an example of how you may be affected rather than getting points for just having hearing aids. Good luck and welcome to the Forum
