Yes take it with a pinch of salt, I have just seen an on-going indefinite award today to be reviewed in Feb 2026.

Hi Lesley, yes you need to take it with a pinch of salt. The quote you gave is quite correct:
‘Those people already aged 65 or over (on 8 April 2013) will not be reassessed for PIP, and will remain on DLA as long as they continue to satisfy the eligibility criteria"
but there’s a loop hole which the DWP are using:
‘The changes will benefit pensioners whose personal circumstances are unlikely to change.’
I have been ill with Fibromyalgia since I was 12, 60 years ago. I have 2 specialist letters, one private and one NHS both detailing the extent of my disability, saying that it is so deep rooted it is unlikely to improve. The DWP obviously decided that they don’t believe it.
