Hi Elie, as Gary says you are aiming for a paper based assessment/review. It will greatly improve his chances of avoiding a telephone assessment if one of his doctors will write a letter to DWP to say that a phone assessment would cause him Overwhelming Psychological Distress. I put capitals just because assessors actually use the abbreviation OPD in reports [did for our daughter]. When requesting such a letter from GP practice I ask for the Secretary [not Dr] and very positively offer to pay for the letter. Last year her surgery's cost was £42 inc VAT and in my opinion cheap at the price, as it worked. The usual heading is 'To whom it may concern' though that probably doesn't matter.
