Hi Catherine,
Thanks once again. Yes I'm sure you've hit the nail on the head. So much for online forms! They give you little scope to expand.
At least the application is in and someone will have to read it and come to a decision somewhere along the way.
Regards,
Phrank.

Hi phrank
I recently helped someone who was awarded enhanced mobility but refused blue badge as in Catherines post below whereas previously they were awarded the blue badge using the same PIP award.
We appealed the decision, someone from the local authority contacted to arrange an appointment with the claimant. They phoned when they said they would and after asking a number of questions which lasted for about 10 mins, the claimant was granted the blue badge for 3 years even though their PIP was going to run out in two years.
We have now heard that their PIP has been extended for 5 years without doing anything, which was good news.

Hi phrank,
I was actually helping someone apply for a renewal this afternoon - they had lost their PIP mobility, and the blue badge is running out before we expect to hear back from the MR. Our local authority gives you an email address you can send the supporting documents to - ID, proof of address etc and I have included in this email a letter explaining the situation and including relevant sections of our MR submission and copies of the evidence we sent with her original PIP review application.
Don't know what the outcome will be yet, but that way did give me the opportunity to do more than just click on boxes.

HI Catherine,
Just to let you know I got an email this afternoon to let me know my renewal had been successful. I promptly paid the £10 online.
I must say I really thought I'd get turned down this time as scoring 12 points, as you pointed out, is not an automatic right to one.
The only thing I can think is they could have some of my old records as I didn't really supply any extra evidence as I was so stressed out with the online form.
Anyway, thanks for all the advice and it's sorted for now.
Kind regards,
Phrank.
