Pip mr decline letter has arrived !!!!!

In respect of driving and poor grip, I picked this up from the internet. “As advised by road safety organisations, a light grip is important for driving safely, as fingers can be broken if you hit a pothole or kerb and you are gripping the steering tightly or the air bag deploys.”
Also, most cars also have power-assisted steering and so require a very light touch.
I used both of these points in my MR.
I would wait for a diagnosis for memory problems. If the DVLA take your licence it takes forever to get it back. My husband has lost his in the past for 6 months and it can take another 12 months to get it returned. It would seem that their system for reviewing licences has not been improved upon for decades even though there are far more people with licences than ever.

Can you remember where you got that information so I can locate it and quote it ? I will keep looking but that is great advice thank you so much. I have written that I have car with power steering and the grip is light touch but I’m looking for reference
And I will wait for diagnosis

Hi Sunshine,
I think I just Googled something like "gripping a steering wheel" but basically cobbled together that bit to illustrate what I had found. Some of the extrapolation by Assessors beggars belief as the links are tenuous, to say the least.
