Letter Re changes i n Pip Law was created by sjwcr
Hello! Can I have some advice please :)

I've just had the letter re changes in planning and following a journey. According to the DWP it does not affect me. However, I think it might. I only scored 4 points for planning and following a journey. However, I can't actually go anywhere on my own most of the time without being accompanied, and I believe this would be classed as social support.

As it stands. I have 11 points for daily living and 8 points for mobility.

Should I challenge this? I am also currently in the process of filling out the AR1 form, so I am not really sure if I should make matters even more difficult. I have a GP letter that states I can't go out on my own.

I would be grateful for any advice.

Thanks

Sj

Hi sjwcr

Only you can decide whether or not you want to challenge this. A lot of people have received rejections when their cases have been relooked at. Some organisations like B&W are looking at these and are currently trying to challenge the decisions saying that the DWP may have acted unlawfully in the way they have gone about this. You could wait and see if this is successful and then we will have templates that will help you challenge or you can go ahead yourself and ask them to look at it again. Challenging that decision is quite separate from filling in your AR1 form and would have no impact on your review.

Hi Bis, Thank you for your help, that is reassuring. I think I will just send the AR1 form and keep an eye out for templates.

Hi
You are the same as me with the points. Everyone received the same letter, no change.
I asked for a MR, which stated I was awarded 4 pts pip, but they used a Esa letter saying I could walk alone, so no change.
But back then I took Esa to tribunal over this and won.
Waiting on outcome.
As I have done, I would say yes appeal
