DISABILITY PREMIUM DRAMAS was created by ANGELA
Morning. Is anyone else having problems with the DWP??
I received my PIP award letter in May (hooray!!) but my Disability Premiums have yet to be reinstated. I was sent forms to complete which I sent off. Phoned up about 3 weeks ago and completed the same form over the phone as they ‘claim’ not to have received it. Completed a second form they sent me and still nothing…
I tried to phone up again yesterday but lost the will to live after holding for 40 mins…
Has anyone else had PREMIUM payment problems???
Or am I just special??

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Oh dear Angel, I don't know how to put this - you may be special, but you are not that special.
I have experienced it and it is unbelievably frustrating when the two departments appear to be unable to communicate with each other. I can only say do keep phoning.
I have experienced this problem twice recently, very different scenarios, and each time it was eventually resolved on the phone, I think by talking to a helpful case manager who applied common sense.
Secret - find something else to do whilst on hold. Even if it is the ironing, it does not feel like a waste of time then.
