PIP will be a paper based review after all

Hi all,

I'm still shaking here.

Have just been in touch with the DWP who put me on hold to ring IAS (formerly Atos) and they came back to me and told me my review WILL now be paper-based after all.

Obviously I've still got a wait (possibly for some time) but it is definitely paper-based.

Only worry is now if they take my PIP off me or reduce it.

For now I'm content.

Thanks for your reply. I'm not sure how confident I can be, now it's a paper-based assessment, but I can't see how an award can be taken off you on a paper based review. Surely I'm right?

Also, I've finally had an email this afternoon from my MP to say she has written to the DWP with a copy of the GP letter of support asking for a reconsideration.

I'm counting it as all good!

Hi Phrank, really pleased to hear that it has all worked out in the end and you have your paper based review. Shame they have put you through so much stress. You can breathe for a little while now.

Thanks for all your encouragement and support throughout this. Without the encouragement I might have given in this time - I was that close.

I won't get too 'giddy' until I get my letter and have read it properly, probably about a hundred times.

I understand, too that there may possibly be a 'surprise' phone call to clarify things from the asessor.

I've no idea how often they do this but I've dotted all the 'I' and crossed thd 'T's' so I can't envisage what they might want to know as there isn't anything else I can really add.
