Thankyou so much for your informative and helpful reply denby

I will call today requesting a a recording ,they do say on the form that you can have someone to support you or if they can’t personally be there then a 3 way call is another option,

I have a call with my Doctor today , hoping to get there support , Took me 3 days calling at 8-30 to request this , as no available appointments, when on having to disclose in my opinion confidential information to get the best doctor , which again sparks my triggers my anxiety in having to explain.

I said one off the reasons is to request a supporting letter to be told you have to request a form to request a letter at a payment off £40 which has to be payed before anything can go through , they don’t make it easy , this is standard even for the terminally ill which is really quite atrocious.

Im on a rollercoaster just want to get off , I’m so exhausted tearful feeling anxious my emotions are on the edge.

I will let you know how I get on .

Warmest regards
Alybongo

Hi Alybongo65

It can be a very emotional experience along the journey of applying for a disability benefit.

It is not made easy and there will be many bumps along the way.

You are doing very well, many people would have given up after 2 days but you have persevered and got through the first ordeal. Just remember, you have a whole army of supporters behind you cheering you on, so stay on the path and don't give up.

Hi Alybongo65, you're welcome. Just 'paying it forward'. I'm afaraid I'm resigned to paying for letters for our daughter £42 last time. What most people don't realise is that although badged as NHS, GPs are all private businesses large or small. The NHS does not pay them for the admin time to do these letters, so the customer - us - does. I just look at it like the B&W sub - incredible value as it helps get a decent level of benefit which is far greater. I just feel very sad for the many living so hand-to-mouth it is a problem for them. I also sympathise about the having- to- disclose- all or nearl- all to bossy non-medical staff to get anywhere. Hey, how sad they are to feel they need this!
keep on keeping on!
best,
Denby
