Things are bit 'misty' for now then. I won't give it much more thought for the time being.
Was s bit curious, but that's all. Am not planning on this happening!

Hi all,
One option I've only just thought about if my attempt to persuade the DM at this stage or at MR level fails, can you go to a tribunal to challenge the length of an award?
If so I will definitely be interested in doing this,

Yes you can, we had a post on the forum a few months ago where the forum member challenged their length of award, they did not dispute what had been awarded but the length of time and won at the Tribunal, I believe that the length of award was either doubled or on going.

Thanks Gary,
That's interesting to know. I can't believe that in the case you refer to the DWP let it even get to a tribunal, but there you are!
Incidentally, my letter has been posted to the DM and I've had confirmation from my MP that they have contacted the DWP and are pursuing the case.

I am still holding my fingers crossed. The paper assessment sounded positive but I agree with many others such as Gary that you certainly should ask for the award length to be reviewed. As Gary says this is possible. There was caselaw on this.
I think that you need to get the whole PIP job done, it would be like painting half the wall, you'd always realise it wasn't finished and would always be really annoying!!!

Thanks for your positive post and the encouragement. I don't know if my previous post had gone live when you posted yours but just to recap: I posted the letter to the DM special delivery today and have had a positive response from my MP.
I know this doesn't guarantee anything but it puts the Tesco Theory to the test: Every Little Helps!
