Last time I had a Hospital
Review Appointment I saw that they had a new computer system. If I want my GP to access my hospital records (different health authorities) I have to enable access to ‘any third party’. Needless to say I didn’t tick the ‘share’ box. ‘Other health professionals’ was the Red Flag. DWP Assessors are allegedly ‘health professionals’.
Don’t trust them one inch.
More concerning is that there doesn’t seem to be any way to input the past 12 years of medical history onto the system.
Histories being wiped and/ or lost may well be a future issue…

Hi Loz

As far as I know, or at least when I asked my GP practice, when sharing is enabled it does not allow full access to medical records for example GP to hospital or vice versa or any other health professional.
It is very limited, the other party can't just willy nilly have a browse about your medical record looking at whatever they like, nor does a 3rd party health professional with access have the ability to change, edit or delete anything, and it's very basic details that are visible due to the protection of any sensitive details on the person's health or wellbeing on their med records that may be there.
I opted out many years ago and that remains so, despite being reassured of how full GP and hospital records are protected. I don't trust computer systems. Never have. Never will.

This must be allowed by mods to make folk aware.
yes be very aware of the private detective's dirty tricks who the dwp employ, what you think they could never do, they do do it.
got hold of medical record and each consultation with my gp has been gone through by what is listed as "External User" (over 50 pages) and the persons name but not who they work for, but that is obvious.
and they are using drs/consultants (whos english is not first language and who have to pay to be sponsored to practice here) to spy on you even at the supermarkets with whom you have an appointment, and they are told to write contradicting stuff rubbishing people like radiographers ect ect.
i swear this under oath the above is true.
they said that you records info would be anonymised. complete rubbish.
get a copy of your records from EMIS which only the surgery can do.

I refused some time to allow my GP to share my data. We were given the choice.
