Benefits and personal pension contributions

I get contribution-based ESA and PIP. Can I put any of this money into my personal pension plan? I know HMRC allows a maximum of £2,880 for anyone on a very low income or using savings to keep the plan going. How would my benefits be classified if I wanted to still put money in when I'm not working because of illness and disability. Thanks if anyone can advise.

I am not aware of any restrictions on how you use the money you receive from your benefits.
