Hi. Waiting for pip review result for 7mths. Rang them and was told it went to assesors in june. Does this mean they want a face to face. The helpline didnt make it clear. Very worried as gp and hospital consultant asked for it not to be a face to face as it would put me in danger.Thankyou

Hi Deg Peard
If it went to the assessors, it probably means that you will be offered a telephone, video or face-to-face assessment. If you have provided evidence that a face-to-face assessment would put you in danger, I would hope that they won't offer you one. (But they don't always read evidence properly). I'm not sure whether you're saying you could cope with a telephone assessment. Were you hoping for a paper-based assessment?
Whenever you hear from the assessment services, you can appeal the assessment type. You can appeal a second time if they refuse to change their mind. There is no legal obligation for them to change their mind. Try not to worry at this stage. If you do get offered a face-to-face, get in touch with your GP immediately.

Needed a paper based assesment.
Drs and consultants have wrote it will put myself and assesers in danger if face to face.

Hi Deg Peard
Wait to hear from them - and if they are not doing a paper-based assessment, appeal and contact your GP.
