Creative Scotland grant while claiming Universal Credit

Hello,

Hypothetical question here. I've recently started claiming UC after burning out at work, and I've been handing in fit notes for the past 2 weeks. I hope to qualify for LCWRA given my health issues around depression/ADD.

I am a freelance artist and work in live performance. I would like to keep working part-time and my work will likely be funded by Creative Scotland through their www.creativescotland.com/funding/funding...-for-individualsOpen Fund for Individuals .

My question is, if I were to receive a grant from Creative Scotland to fund an artistic project, how would I declare this to Universal Credit? In most cases, the grant would cover project and access costs - ie equipment, salaries for myself and other artists, insurance.

Would I put it through as self employment income, with expenses listed for the various artistic costs?

Thank you in advance, this website is a fabulous resource

Ps

If your illness means you require support from someone else you should consider claiming Adult Disabilty Payment if you live in Scotland
