Budget and ESA was created by Zinny
ESA claimants over the next year will be transferred to Universal Credit and will be given work coaches to encourage them to get a job. They will be given a three month window during which they have to transfer. The budget has said that benefit claimants will have to look for job and will have £4000 deducted from their income annually to force them to get a job. However a spokesman on the radio said this will only apply to new claimants from 2025. Has the ESA transfer been cancelled? What is the actual position of people now on ESA?

Hi Zinny

Yes I did read today on a welfare benefit website that the Government are looking at changing the WCA criteria which will affect 370k claimants receiving LCWRA by 2028/2029, as you have stated they will loose over £4k a year, the government is introducing reforms to the WCA from September 2025; www.gov.uk/government/consultations/work...ties-and-descriptors

Keep an eye out for the B&W newsletter which will have more information.
