Trouble implementing the guide

I can't tell you what to do here. You have to do what feels right for you. You may struggle to get someone to help you in the next 10 days. and I don't know whether the DWP will give you more time. If you think you're going to need more time - you should ask now - so you know the answer.

I know that it's really difficult for you, but don't make it harder on yourself by trying to get the perfect answers. In the guide, there are enough sample answers which you could use just as they are to express the difficulties you have with your depression. You know better than anyone what you go through. You can always find an example that seems appropriate and swap out the disability given for yours. We're not experts - we just have a little more experience in dealing with the DWP, and we are constantly appalled, aggravated, angered, and frustrated by the difficulties of the system, and we don't always get it right.

The one person who is an expert is you! You are the expert on how your disabilities affect you, and even if you can't find the perfect words, some words are better than no words. Don't undersell your difficulties.

So glad you have your extension. That relieves a bit of pressure off you. Just try and tackle one question at a time. As the guide says, there are no right answers. Just try to give them enough information. If they think something is missing, they can ask you about it during the assessment.
