Hi,

After getting depression in September 2023 I have worked with two local counselors had bereavement counseling and CBT which has not helped. I therefore agreed to take medication (sertraline) about two weeks ago and the side effects are so bad I am almost definitely going to come off it. Will this affect my Pip claim? I do have evidence of my fear of pschotropic drugs from a psycotherapist i worked with

I know about this

But do assessors really abide by that?

Thanks

The important thing is to show that the medication was prescribed and why you are unable to take it, this will undermine any counterarguments that an assessor might make.
