Does this type of claim take as long to get a decision as a PIP renewal?

PIP2 has been received by DWP and had a text to say with assessment service.

Hi Honey

I'm sorry, but we just can't tell you with any accuracy at the current time - how long it is taking for them to process any types of claims. Even when people are told their form is with the assessment services it can be anything from a few weeks to many months to hear anything.
