After almost a year, I finally had my ESA Appeal hearing last week - which was allowed by the court and I am to be treated as having limited capability for work. However, I have not been put in the support group, as it was decided that I do not have limited capability for work-related activity. As the DWP continued to pay ESA while the appeal was pending, my ESA (new style) is due to end on 29th September, as I have reached the maximum 12 months. Given that I'm still not in the support group, does this end date still apply? Why is it all so complicated?!

Hi Jen

What it means is that you passed the first test and got 15 points or more but failed the second test.

At the end of the year your NS ESA will stop, you will then go on to UC which will be means tested.
