UC ASSESSMENT

I have just seen to be in Limited Capability for Work and Work related activity, you have to score 15 points one of the questions, like social engagement, "getting out and about", change etc. On social engagement, does anyone know if this means cannot engage with anyone 90 per cent of the time, or cannot engage with anyone at home, but can go to an hospital apointment when assisted.

WOuld that one appointment mean you can't get 15 points on that descriptor? Same going getting out and about. Would going out once accompanied to a hospital appointment mean you lose the 15 points or is this the majority of the time? THanks. (Not asked to be reassessed yet but think it might be coming.)

Yes you can qualify for lcwra if you need to be assisted to socialise with others, if most of the time you cannot socialise safely and to an acceptable standard without help you will satisfy the lcwra (or support group) descriptor. However scoring 15 points on the going out activity will not qualify you for lcwra (or support group) make sure differentiate between difficulties you have socialising when you do and don't have help
