Hi, I have a friend who is on lower rate AA. She had this after a series of mini strokes. she has since had a massive stroke and now needs more help. Her daughter phoned them to report a change of circumstances in the middle of July and was told she could not apply for higher rate until December , is this correct?
I can't see anything on the government website that implies there are rules about someone reporting a change of circumstances and moving from one wait to another. Your friend needs to ask them why and if that's the rule where it is in writing or on .gov.uk.
