DWP refusing to pay was created by Fred Kaz
Hello, I will ve as short as I can but it is long. 2028 I had to attend a first tier tribunal. At the time my DLA care section was not enough to have the spare room as a bedroom. I suffer from Complex PTSD, and quite often I have nightmares and lash out in my sleep. I won this appeal, and all parties where informed. Since that date 21/03/2018 I have not paid bedroom tax. At that time I was on IR ESA and CB ESA. On the 18th August 2024, I received migration letter saying I had to apply for UC, if not filled in by a certain date, all denefits will stop.

I filled in all the forms and DWP have come back yo me saying I have to pay the bedroom tax. The reason for this is that back in 2018 it was housing benefit who paid my rent, but now seeing that I am on UC the rules are different.

I told DWP that I had this award from a judge saying I don't pay bedroom tax but they just ignore the copies of the paperwork I was given back in 2018. I thought this award was a legal document is it a legal document which must be followed? And also have the DWP got the right to over rule what a judge has written.

I was forced to join UC, and prior to this every thing was OK. But since bring forced to go on UC, there have put me in debt, messed up my claim, I get less than I was on before.

Any advice from any one please.
