Capital Disregards ESA was created by Perdita

Regarding money in a claimant's account that can be regarded as disregarded capital by the DWP - is this always only capital from sources listed in the DWP's manuals, or can other sources not on the list be disregarded at the discretion of the DWP? I have a unique situation where I may receive funds that I think should be disregarded but the unusual source is not on that list.

Hi Perdita

You need to speak to your local Welfare Rights Organisation where they can give you specific advice.

If you have access to the Disability Rights Handbook edition 49, have a look at chapter 16.
