Just wondered how to change f2f assessment for PIP review to a telephone assessment due to overwhelming anxiety. I wrote this in review firm but still told have to do f2f. Im on waiting list for psychotherapy.

Can I ask my GP to write a letter saying a f2f would be too distressing for me. Not sure they will as surgery seems reluctant to write supporting letters & may not be able to get GP tel appt before assessment. If not, what else can I do. I don't want home visit as it's my safe place & don't want strangers there.

So stressed with this & having go change over go UC in 4 weeks, as well as the upcoming welfare changes announced on Tues.

Hi tony,

Not sure if you're aware, but your whole email address is visible on the forum - you can change this to a username in the settings page.

For PIP assessments, you can usually write to them (FtT or UtT) with the address on the letter you should've received, advising why you would like a change, and you can also email them I believe. You should be able to find a contact email address in relation to the location where you would send your letter. You can find this online normally.

Hope this helps you.

Chris.
