Contribution based ESA was created by Lulu
I have been on contribution based ESA since I won my appeal in 2018.

I had to appeal and won My PIP. I am due a light touch review in 2030. I have confirmation of this in a letter.

I do not have a date for a review for my contribution based ESA. Can someone give me some advice on this?

Thank you

Hi Lulu

The government is talking about resuming LCWRA reviews next year for some conditions. There is more information here-

Hi David,

Excuse my ignorance but i am receiving Contribution based ESA in the support group. Is this the same as LCWRA? Thank you 😊

Hi Lulu

Yes the UC LCWRA group is the equivalent of the ESA Support group.

Hi David

Thank you for the explanation.

Could I be asked to migrate then to UC LCWRA at anytime?

I remember the nurse who took my assessment back in 2018 said she would recommend a 10 year review.

Hi Lulu

Yes you can, but you will not be able to claim transitional protection unless you have received a letter from the DWP inviting you to claim UC.

We would advise you to seek advice first before you do anything.
