Would the disregard stay in place if we withdrew some of the £5200 and then replaced it

Hi M&E

Yes it should. Just keep an audit trail of where it is.

Apologies, but I’m still confused.
Can we save £6000 above and beyond the £5200 we received in backdated payment? We know how much we have to pay per £250 above the £6000 allowance, but are unsure if we can have the two amounts simultaneously in one account?

Hi M&E

Yes you can save up to £6000 over the backdated amount before the UC Tariff Income hits.
