dla medical was created by martha
I have just opened my letter from the medical services on behalf of the DWP saying 'An Approved Health Care Professional' will contact me shortly to arrange a visit.

Later on it refers to a 'specially trained health care professional' my assumption was it would be a doctor?

Is this no longer the case? Are the DWP making cuts here too?

Not only is the decision maker an administrator but will i now be medically assessed by a support worker or health care assistant??

ATOS, who do the medicals, employee both Doctors and nurses. The training your letter refers to is in how to carry out the medical.

You should not assume that they have any specific experience regarding your ilnesses.

Hope this helps

Steve
