Change of circumstances. was created by bluejay52
Hi everyone.
Just to say that I rang the DLA people last week about a change in circumstances.
I explained that Im finding it harder to get around because of another problem that affects my mobility.(I am on HRM in any case)
I basically did this to keep them informed,as you are supposed to do.
They then told me they dont want to know unless it affects my mobility---I did??????

Better to tell them when they think you don't need to than not to tell them when they think you do.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

You were quite correct to inform the DLA unit of your change of circumstances, even though it had no material effect on your existing award of DLA.
In the current circumstances the DLA unit could have initiated a review of your mobility component (it has happened when a claimant merely notified a change of address), but for once commonsense has prevailed and they have sensibly decided not to conduct a review.
