DLA Application - Medical Records was created by T.G.
Does anyone know if it is possible to track down hospital medical records after some twenty years or whether a GP would still have copies on file?

Hi, I asked for the last fifteen years of GP notes to include all correspondence with hospitals.

I don't think the GP would have hospital records though?

Best wishes,
Rachel

You would need to contact the hospital. The GP may have some records to do with hospital findings but the hospital will have their own file and archives.

Hi TG, There should still be (paper) records at your GPs, the rest will be on computor but you can still get copies. Speak to the practice Manager first if there are only certain dates you reqire. Or you can pay £50.00 for a copy of all the records, this can take upto 40 working days. Best Wishes

The GP is most unlikely to have a set of the hospital records.

I cannot gaurantee that records 20 years old will still exist. You will have to ask
but I think many will still exist
