Should I Be Worried? was created by Gold6082
Hi I was asssessed in 2000 by A Dr who exempted me from the PCA. I then was asked to attend one back in 2007,My Gp asked for a home visit,I was later contacted by The Dwp to say "we won't need to see you after all" until december 2010.
The above alone was a contradictory confusing set of events.
Now to my question I have not heard anything at all from the DWP despite my fresh review date being over a month ago.
Does this mean I am being left alone till March or whenever ESA comes into effect then being shoved onto that.I ask for opinions because these reviews worry me and make me both mentally and physically ill even when I am aware of what is going on,waiting and not knowing makes it all worse.
Many Thanks

Hi,
I'm afraid there's really no way of saying when you might be reviewed. It is not at all unusual for the DWP to be months late with a review.
But, as you say, from sometime in March/April any forms sent out to IB claimants will be in relation to ESA rather than IB.
Unfortunately, all you can do is wait and see.
Good luck,
Steve

What you say is right,
But if another claimant was reviewed in the same town as Gold6082 and in December, that is really annoying.
Because you are going to feel victimised,
With a bit of luck they may not feel as though you don't need a review,as they as satisfied of your condition.
And reviewing you would be a waist of money.
Then again they should inform you of the fact,as not knowing your review date is totally the pits
One thing for certain they(DWP) dont seem to care or undersand about illness and didability

Hi Kerryman
Have not posted for awhile as i have been unwell recently, but as you know, i thoroughy agree with you about delays and unexpected outcomes regarding reviews causing a great deal of distress.
I think all claimants should have received proper notification explaining any delays (and about changes concerning the issuing of IB50ss to previously exempt claimants which has also caused confusion and distress to many).
I recently went from a three year exemption to being told to expect a review in only six months time - undoubtedly a major contributory factor in my deteriorating mental health.
Best wishes

Thanks for the replys. It is frustrating you know your review date stress out about it then hear nothing making the worry drag on much longer.
In The past the DWP actually wrote to me a week BEFORE the review date to inform me it was upcoming and arranged a PCA for after the expected date.
